QUEST DIAGNOSTICS APPOINTS FEDERAL AFFAIRS DIRECTOR

Ms. Cusick has responsibility for representing Quest Diagnostics in Washington, D.C.
and maintaining relationships with key legislators and their staff as well as federal
government agencies, including the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) of the
Health and Human Services Administration. In addition, she represents Quest Diagnostics
with the American Clinical Laboratory Association (ACLA), the industry trade association.
Ms. Cusick has been involved with health care issues for more than ten years. Most
recently, she was a lobbyist for the College of
American Pathologists, responsible for influencing strategies related to managed
care, Medicare and laboratory medicine. Previously, she was affiliated with The Davidson
Colling Group, a government relations firm, as a congressional liaison and lobbyist for
corporate clients.
