Quest Diagnostics Appoints Thomas F. Bongiorno Vice President and Corporate Controller

TETERBORO, N.J., August 7, 2000 —

Mr. Bongiorno, 44, will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and financial control, reporting to Robert A. Hagemann, Corporate Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Bongiorno joins Quest Diagnostics from Automatic Data Processing, Inc., where he had served in a variety of financial management positions since 1986, most recently as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for ADP’s Time and Labor Management Services.

A Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant, Mr. Bongiorno received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware. He expects to complete the requirements for an MBA degree at Fordham University next May.
